Daughterhood UK Ltd respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, how long we keep it and the choices you have.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect your name, email address and other contact details; information you give us through our forms, enquiries or event bookings; details about your caring circumstances, interests and preferences; your marketing choices and consent record; and basic website, device, referral and cookie information.

Please do not include medical information, or personal information about another person, unless it is necessary and you have the right to share it.

HOW AND WHY WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

• respond to enquiries and provide information or services you request;
• manage the Daughterhood After Hours community, guest list, bookings and events;
• send news, invitations and priority booking updates when you have chosen to receive them;
• understand and improve our community, events, services and website;
• keep appropriate administrative records and meet our legal obligations.

We rely on consent for optional marketing emails. You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time. For community administration, service improvement and responding to enquiries, we may rely on our legitimate interests where these do not override your rights. We may also process information where necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, or to comply with the law.

WHO CAN ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION

At present, only the founder of Daughterhood UK has direct access to community responses. We use trusted service providers to operate the website and securely process or store information on our behalf, including Squarespace for the website, Tally for forms, Notion for the community database, and relevant email or IT providers. They may only process information for the services they provide to us.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards designed to protect personal information when it is transferred internationally.

HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We generally keep personal information for up to two years after your last interaction with Daughterhood UK, then delete or anonymise it. We may keep information for longer where you have an active relationship with us or where the law requires it. If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending marketing messages, although we may retain a minimal record of your preference so we can respect it.

SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to provide a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, transfer it, or stop using it. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time.

Our Squarespace website may use essential cookies and, depending on your choices, analytics or similar technologies. You can use the cookie banner or your browser settings to manage non-essential cookies where available.

CHILDREN

Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
